OpenStructures at Z33
The OS (OpenStructures) project explores the possibility of a modular construction model where everyone designs for everyone on the basis of one shared geometrical grid. It initiates a kind of collaborative Meccano to which everybody can contribute parts, components and structures.
Help us to create the world’s biggest Open modular construction system!

Burundi Building Case studies.
Intrastructures worked together with the architecture collective BrusselsCooperation to develop a masterplan for a small elementary school in Burundi.
The ‘12 systems’ methodology was applied to generate a more integrated and humane architectural design. Apart from that, several construction elements have been generated according to the OS grid.
The resulting proposals are currently being further tested and refined by BrusselsCooperation. This work in progress can be monitored on their blog.
